Award winning poets Michael Pedersen and Hollie McNish bring a special event to Waterstones Belfast, reading from their newest books Boy Friends and Slug.
Tickets include a copy of Michael Pedersen's Boy Friends, an intimate and original memoir of love, grief and male friendship by one of Scotland's brightest young talents. Spaces are strictly limited.
Michael and Hollie will be reading from their newest works in an intimate setting and will be signing books afterwards.
Michael Pedersen has won a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship, the John Mather’s Trust Rising Star of Literature Award, and was a finalist for the 2018 ‘Writer of the Year’ at The Herald Scottish Culture Awards. The Waterstone’s Special Edition of Boy Friends features a special Q&A / secret chapter with Shirley Manson of the internationally acclaimed band Garbage.
Hollie McNish is a poet and author based between Glasgow and Cambridge. She won the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry for her poetic parenting memoir – Nobody Told Me – of which The Scotsman stated ‘the World Needs this Book’. She has published four further collections of poetry – Papers, Cherry Pie, Plum and her most recent poetic memoir Slug is a Sunday Times Bestseller.
