On Friday the 8th October we launch An Anthology of Joy, the new project from Museum of Half Truths. The exhibition will be a playful take on a museum dedicated to celebrating the small joys found despite the pandemic.

Through the summer Manchester residents have been sharing with us the moments, routines and hobbies that they have turned to for joy. This exhibition brings them together for the first time along with new work from artists Aliyah Hussain, Dionne Pajarillaga, Hannah Whitlow, Maria Fernandez De Osso, Polly Palmerini and Rachael Burns.

If you shared your joys with us make sure you pay us a visit! There is something from every submission to the archive featured in the exhibition.

The show will be open until the 23rd October, no booking needed after the launch. Please check Contact's website for up to date opening hours.

The exhibition is on the ground floor of Contact Theatre, which is fully accessible. There is an accessible toilet on the same level.

This project was curated by Polly Palmerini and Rachael Burns as Museum of Half Truths. Funded by Manchester Independents.

The project as whole aimed to connect people, makers, thinkers and artists from across GM to build an archive which broadly reflected on this time in our life. Throughout all the workshops and activities, we started an active discussion of positive methods of working, thinking, making and moving during and -post pandemic.
