Event Details

Join London artist Lauren Saunders in this informal conversation about her current Drawing practice. Lauren draws in the expanded field to investigate the process of experience, examining and questioning the certainty of sensual observation and conceptual knowledge.

Lauren Saunders Art

Lauren Saunders is a London-born emerging visual artist who lives and works in the 2017 UK City of Culture, Hull.

Often contextually rich, her inter-disciplinary art-making approach is both eclectic, exploratory and experimental. Her work is influenced by psychological phenomenon such as pareidolia, interpretation and perception, and her own mental health experiences, as she seeks to both challenge and bring humour to the experience of the viewer. Saunders actively champions the role of art within meaningful mental health recovery and works to advocate this alongside her studio practice.
