Event description

Description

Join us for an exclusive talk and have the privilege of meeting Kate Whitton: marine conservationist, and Sea Champion Coordinator for the South and South East of England.

There is widespread misconception that to see marine wildlife, you have to travel to a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean. However, here in the UK, we are lucky enough to have incredible animals in our seas including Basking Sharks, Seals, Jellyfish, Dolphins, Whales and Porpoise and Sea Turtles.

And the best part is everyone can get involved in protecting these magnificent animals and their habitats, some of which you may be lucky to find here on the Sussex coast. The Marine Conservation Society is currently working to help people understand more about the importance of our oceans and the creatures that live in them. They achieve this through a wildlife sightings programme, citizen science activities, campaigns and events where members of the public, like YOU, can get involved.

By booking your ticket, you will be one of 15 people to hear from Kate about how everyone can become a part of pioneering projects and initiatives that safeguard the future of our seas.

For this event, proceeds will be shared with the Brighton Dolphin Project and Marine Conservation Society.
