An Awetistic focus group for jobseekers with autism
Event Information
Description
Do you live with autism? Do you want to find a job but struggle to find chances to prove yourself? Do you live in South Staffordshire (Lichfield, Tamworth, Rugeley, Burton-on-Trent, Stafford and surrounding areas)?
If you've answered yes to all of those questions, you are welcome to attend an awesome focus group for people with autism at Bromford's Lichfield home on Stowe Road. Led by Phil Evans, a 28-year-old with Asperger's syndrome who wants to find a solution that can help jobseekers with autism in South Staffordshire to find employment, the group is designed to measure interest in a prospective project that will be designed to educate employers on positive traits of autism that can manifest as employable skills while showcasing the value of volunteering and work experience placements as ways to build personal and professional skills.
Please register, come along and share your experiences. Talk about what you love and what you'd love to do for work. Phil has a long-running passion to raise the current level of British autistic people in permanent employment. Phil wants to get more than 15%, as revealed by The National Autistic Society, employed and actively works to make a change through public speaking and writing.
PLEASE NOTE there will be no car parking available at Bromford's offices for this event. If you drive into Lichfield, you could use one of Lichfield's pay and display car parks in the city centre.
