About the event
This unique fundraiser celebrates the power of upcycling, sustainability and connection. The evening weaves together a key ring making workshop, thought provoking short film screenings and an inspiring panel discussion with changemakers working at the intersection of creativity, community and social impact.
Together we’ll reflect on how storytelling, sustainability and care can spark meaningful change while directly supporting projects that give back.
About SEAMS
SEAMS follows Edie, a solitary sewist who begins to believe her client Louise is reaching out for help. What starts as empathy soon unravels into obsession, with painful consequences.
Created by an all-female team and in partnership with Give Your Best, SEAMS is a project rooted in impact, shining a light on themes of loneliness, care and the invisible threads that connect us.
Crafting Workshop
Get hands-on with a relaxed, creative session using upcycled materials. Guided by a dedicated workshop leader you will design and make a unique keyring, a small keepsake symbolising care, connection, and the power of giving.
Film Screening
Watch three multi-award-winning female-led films exploring themes of care, sustainability and connection.
Bridge - In this meditation on care and connection, NHS receptionist Bridget grapples with the demands of a crumbling healthcare system until her life changes when she picks up the phone to Kirsty.
Small Selkie - Against the backdrop of the loss of her mother, Skye finds solace by the sea.
Sleepyhead - In this dark comedy, sixth-former Rae is chronically ill and stuck at home with her glorious imagination and seething rage for company.
Panel Discussion
Our panel brings together filmmakers, sustainability advocates and community leaders to explore how craft, creativity and connection can inspire care and solidarity. Exciting panelist announcements coming soon!
Following the panel discussion please do stick around and join us for more drinks and conversation until 10pm!
