Event description
Join us for an Evening in Abraham's with Julie Carter as she talks about THE ART OF ADVENTURE and what it means to be a fell runner.

About this Event

Join us for an Evening in Abraham's with Julie Carter as she talks about THE ART OF ADVENTURE and what it means to be a fell runner. The evening is free and we will be serving tea, coffee and cake on the house.

Keswick fellrunner and climber Julie Carter does not stand still for long - since the success of her books, 'Running the Red Line' and 'Is It Serious?' in 2018 Julie has continued to use her adventures as inspiration for her writing.

This year she became the first woman to complete an extended Bob Graham round of 55 peaks at the age of 55

Join Julie at the Abraham's Café for new stories, poems, pictures and music which explore the common impulse shared by art, adventure and sport. She will also explain how poetry can make you run faster as well as give some unique insights into special spots in the Northern fells.

6pm for a 6:30 start, expected to end at 8.30pm depending on question time.

Free tea, coffee and cakes!

Your £10 entry will all be going to Derwent Hill, as per Julie's request.
