An Evening in Celebration of Nigerian Independence Day

Join The Worshipful the Mayor of Southwark, Cllr Sunny Lambe, on the 1st October 2025 to celebrate 65 years of Nigerian Independence, in partnership with Central Association of Nigerians in UK (CANUK) and the Spring Community Hub. The reception will be hosted at the Southwark Council building, at 160 Tooley Street.

As part of the evening, we will be launching CANUK''s schorlarship to support young black enterpreneurs of Nigerian descent in the UK.

A night filled with inspirational words, joy, music, and culture as we commemorate Nigerian Independence Day at Southwark Council.
