We are delighted to be joined by Michael Palin for our second annual Evening of Adventure at the Royal Geographical Society in London on Tuesday, 14 March 2017.
As an actor, writer and traveller Michael has touched the hearts of many during a career spanning five decades. Having worked with Wild Frontiers on his Himalaya series, Michael will be talking about his appreciation of travel in Pakistan and the remote mountainous region of the Hindu Kush.
It was here in Pakistan’s north that we introduced Michael to the Kalash, a pagan tribe that still live a very simple and traditional existence in the isolated valleys. Proceeds of the evening will aid The Wild Frontiers Foundation and people of the Kalash, raising much needed funds to build new flood barriers and help keep their community safe from future devastating flooding.
Joining Michael in the adventure line-up will be:
Explorer and TV presenter Benedict Allen, fresh from his latest adventures in Papua New Guinea and
adventurer, expedition leader and Wild Frontiers tour leader Spike Reid, who recently travelled the length of the mighty River Ganges in India by standup paddleboard. The evening will be hosted by Wild Frontiers founder Jonny Bealby.
