A charity evening of modern roots and blues music featuring local singer/songwriters and bands.

About this event

The HopBarn is delighted to present this special charity music event featuring local musicians Charlotte Evans and Becky Syson along with The Halam Sessions.

Becky Syson (pictured): is an aspiring acoustic folk, Roots-rock singer songwriter from Nottinghamshire, UK. When you hear Becky Syson perform live you'll understand why she's been described as 'Sublime Folk Rock'... With countless blooms of first-rate songs and an infectious personality on stage it's no wonder that she's highly received by audiences and promoters alike.

‘Becky radiates positivity and this comes through loud and clear in her music.’

Paul Klotschkow, LeftLion Magazine.

Charlotte Ruston: is an emerging acoustic singer songwriter from Newark, her song writing and vocals are impressive in an artist so young. Charlottes influences include Laura Marling, Florence and Alanis Morissette..

The Halam Sessions: have played around the midlands region for a number of years purely for a love of Roots and Country Blues music. They have perfected their art and continue to entertain sophisticated audiences looking for much more than just country folk covers.. They were reported in the NottinghamLive as featuring acoustic and electric guitars with a deep rich voice and gentle interweaving guitar lines delivering Country Blues Noir at its best … dark, moody and melancholic. Music to contemplate life and celebrate the emotional provocation of modern Roots music.

All proceeds from this event will go to Beaumond House Hospice and Childline
