Event description

Description

Professor Alice Roberts is well known as an academic, writer and broadcaster but did you know she is passionate about helping people achieve their potential in education and engaging them with science?

Now a familiar face on British TV as a presenter on various science documentary programmes, Alice Roberts was one of the original Coast presenters, along with Miranda Krestovnikoff.

Alice presented the 2018 Ri Christmas Lectures; presents the long-running Digging for Britain series on BBC4; presents Britain’s most Historic Towns on Channel 4 – which will be back for a second series in Summer 2019.

You’ll be greeted with a drinks reception on arrival, followed by a stimulating conversation led by our guest interviewer Miranda Krestovnikoff.

Miranda is a radio and television presenter specialising in natural history and archaeological programmes including The One Show. You’ll hear behind the scenes stories from their TV work and learn about their passions as they’re joined on stage by local charitable organisations.

Join us in the spacious waterside setting of The Bristol Hotel, centrally located next to Bristol's iconic Pero's Bridge.

Parking available for £7 for all guests for the duration of the event in the Bristol Hotel's onsite car park - Prince Street NCT. Before departing, please take your ticket to reception to have it validated to the value of £7.

The event is brought to you by Quartet Community Foundation who work to inspire philanthropy across the West of England.

Drinks reception from 6.30pm, Alice Roberts and Miranda Krestovnikoff in conversation from 7pm-8pm, followed by drinks and supper.
