About this Event

Andy McNab CBE DCM MM writes about what he knows. He has written about his experiences in the SAS in three bestselling books. Bravo Two Zero is the highest selling war book of all time and has sold over 10 million copies in the UK alone. Immediate Action, McNab’s autobiography, spent 18 weeks at the top of the bestseller lists. Seven Troop was a Sunday Times Top 5 bestseller. McNab’s fiction also draws extensively on his experiences and knowledge of Special Forces soldiering. He has also written several series of novels for young adults and children.

McNab is involved in a number of film projects on both sides of the Atlantic. He has worked as an advisor on a number of Hollywood films including Heat, Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbour, The Expendables and The Transporter series.

He campaigns tirelessly as a spokesperson and fundraiser for both military and literacy charities. In December 2015 he trekked to the South Pole to raise money for The Reading Agency. In the past year he has visited 12 prisons, 8 army bases, 14 schools and 7 workplaces to talk about education and literacy.

Andy McNab was awarded the CBE, Commander of the British Empire, for his services to literacy and charity, in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2017.
