Event description

Description

Ariana Harwicz is one of most radical figures in contemporary Argentinian literature. Her first translated novel Die, My Love was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize in 2018, and we are thrilled to be launching her newest novel in translation Feebleminded.

This special evening will also celebrate the independent Edinburgh publisher Charco Press, who are bringing the best in new South American literature to an English-reading audience for the first time, and to international acclaim.

Our conversation will be chaired by the prizewinning writer Daniel Hahn, who has translated books by José Saramago, Philippe Claudel, and the novel Resistance by Julian Fuks, also published by Charco.
