Author and academic Dr Brandy Schillace joins us to discuss her new book The Intermediaries, a history of the Institute for Sexual Science in Weimar Germany.

The Intermediaries tells the stories of Dr Magnus Hirshfeld, the gay Jewish doctor at the heart of the institute, and patients of the clinic including Dora Richter, charting the relationships between the development of sexual science, queer civil rights, and the fight against rising fascism in Weimar Germany. Dr Schillace will give a talk on The Intermediaries before answering questions and signing copies of her book.
