Overview

Join us for an evening with the extraordinary collector, Charles Brooking, and a new film on his life and work with Marianne Suhr.

Join us for an evening with the extraordinary collector, Charles Brooking, and the screening of a new film which explores his life and work.  Charles has been collecting architectural fragments since the age of 3, and has now amassed not only an enormous number of important items, but also unsurpassed knowledge of the subject.  From the windows of Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street, to 30,000 sash pulleys, the Brooking Collection is an incredible feat of human perseverance and dedication. The Brooking

After the 45 minute film,  there will be a conversation between Charles Brooking and Marianne Suhr who, along with her son Max, spent time with Charles making the documentary.  There will also be an opportunity to ask Charles questions about his life and work, and any other old building dating conundrums.
