In celebration of Beethoven’s 250 year anniversary John Suchet shares an insight into his musical hero with live performances.

About this Event

Beethoven Scholar and classical radio host John Suchet has had a lifelong, ardent interest in the man and his music. In Celebration of Beethoven’s 250 year anniversary John Suchet brings you an evening of words and music on Beethoven, illuminating the composer’s difficult childhood, his struggle to maintain friendships and romances, his ungovernable temper, his obsessive efforts to control his nephew’s life, and the excruciating decline of his hearing. The evening will involve Marylebone Music Festival artists performing movements from Beethoven’s String Quartets, including movements from opus 18.no.2, opus 59.no.1, and opus 130 String Quartets.
