Event description

Description

Join us for an evening with Funmi Fetto, journalist and author, as she talks about her new beauty book Palette: The Beauty Bible for Women of Colour. Funmi will be interviewed by Birmingham singer and presenter Jamelia Davis.
The idea for Palette came to Glamour Executive Editor and Beauty Director and former British Vogue Beauty Editor Funmi Fetto after years of being asked by friends, family and strangers on the street for advice on products suitable for women of colour, who often find themselves excluded from mainstream beauty coverage.
The result is a carefully curated guide to over 150 makeup, skin care and hair care products that every woman of colour should have on her radar.
Following on from her career in journalism where she has extended the beauty conversation in publications such as Vogue and the Observer - for whom she writes a weekly column - and written in an honest, elegant and engaging style, Fetto covers all the hair, skincare, makeup and body products available today which really work for women of colour.
Palette is an important and necessary book. It is at once Funmi's rallying cry to make the beauty industry as diverse as its consumers and indispensable reading for anyone who has ever asked - do I need a serum? or can I pull off red lipstick?
Tickets for this event are £3.
