Friday December 16th at 7:30pm (bar opens 7pm)

Arts for Hungerford & The Hungerford Bookshop are very excited to announce an evening with food writer, editor, TV chef, and former Sunday Times columnist, GIZZI ERSKINE. Always at the forefront of any trend, Gizzi was one of the first to back the pop-up restaurant scene. Her food events are legendary for those in the know. In 2013 she had the honour of hosting the Observer Food Monthly awards alongside Jay Rayner, and in 2014 she programmed her own tent at Latitude Festival, headlined at On Blackheath and appeared at both Meatopia and the Big Feastival. She has been designated one of the Evening Standard's 1000 Most Influential People four times.

Gizzi Erskine will be talking to food writer and reviewer Belinda Harley about her latest book Season’s Eatings. Enjoy wine and some tasty treats from the book at your table. This is a rare chance to catch her so please book early for this fabulous foodie festive event.

About the book: No one loves a get-together more than Gizzi, so in her latest book she shows you how to create delicious, crowd-pleasing fare for every occasion. Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, a New Year's brunch or a frightful feast for Halloween: whatever the occasion, you will find something special to share with the ones you love. Recipes include Boxing Day turkey mole enchiladas, Bonfire night sausage casserole, Thanksgiving clambake and Dense chocolate Christmas cake.

Gizzi has been a columnist for The Sunday Times Magazine, Contributing Editor for InStyle and has written for a wide variety of other magazines and newspapers such as Marie Claire, Elle, Elle USA, Vogue USA, GQ, The Times and the Evening Standard.
