Join us for a relaxing evening with James Norbury as he talks about his new book and teaches you how to draw his beloved characters.

From the million-copy global bestselling author of Big Panda and Tiny Dragon, our two friends return to undertake a beautifully illustrated and poignant journey in search of the most beautiful place in the world.

James Norbury’s heartwarming and thought-provoking illustrations have captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands of readers across the world. In A Beautiful World, we are invited to take a closer look at the world around us and search for beauty in the here and now. As Big Panda and Tiny Dragon undertake their demanding expedition, they traverse dark forests, hazardous mountains and derelict ruins. But whilst the landscapes of life can seem overwhelming, the pair slowly come to see pockets of light and beauty at every turn. Through beautiful illustrations and a simple tale inspired by Buddhist philosophy, Norbury draws our gaze back to the simple pleasures and helps us to find hope in the most unlikely places.

James will tell us all about his new book while showing you how to draw Tiny Dragon and Big Panda!

James Norbury is an artist, author and illustrator with a love of nature and animals. For over 20 years, James struggled to achieve success as an artist and spent his spare time volunteering for the Samaritans. Both his charity work and an emerging interest in Zen Buddhism made a significant, positive impact on his mental health during this time, and inspired his work, with James eventually deciding to make Buddhist philosophy and ideas more accessible through his books.

After securing the book deal that changed his life, James runs an animal charity with his wife, having recently opened a charity shop in Swansea where he lives, and has set himself the long-term goal of opening an animal shelter. James was born in the Forest of Dean and he's spent most of his life writing and drawing. He studied Zoology at university and after graduating he moved to Ireland. From there he travelled around the UK living in Newcastle, Swansea and Cheltenham, some of the time living on a narrowboat. James now lives back in Swansea with his wife and their seven cats.: @jamesnorburyofficial
