Tuesday, 12 November 2013 from 19:00 to 21:00 (GMT)
London, United Kingdom
Jane Corbin is a Senior Correspondent on BBC's Panaroma. She has investigated al Qaeda for sixteen years, tracking them across Afghanistan, Pakistan, Africa and the Middle East while filming for Panorama and writing an authoritative book about the perpetrators of terror attacks that have killed many thousands worldwide. In a lecture illustrated with film clips Jane talks about her experiences tracking al Qaeda and explores the threat they still present today despite the death of their leader.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards The Urology Foundation, funding research into cancers and diseases of the prostate, bladder and kidneys.
When & Where
The Urology Foundation
The Urology Foundation is the only UK charity funding vital research and training into all urological diseases. Every year nearly 40,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and over 10,000 die from it. Thousands more men or women are struck by cancers or infections of the kidney, bladder and testes. And literally millions have their lives blighted by infertility or incontinence as a result of these conditions, the incidence of which are set to rise as the population grows older. The Urology Foundation is there to make a difference. We believe that patients with urological diseases in the UK deserve the most advanced treatment options available delivering the best results. We support vital research into these diseases and train surgeons in the very latest techniques which reduce risk, improve recovery times and hugely benefit patients.
Less than a week to go and ticket sales are booming; Make sure you get yours!
Here's a sneak peek of our AV set up which I attened along with Jane on Tuesday. I got goosebumps as the auditorium filled with the sounds and images which will accompany Jane's powerful discussion. We're looking forward to seeing you all there.
