Event description
Lucy will bring Jane Austen to life superbly, exploring the intelligent, powerful, contradictory, loving and loved woman.

About this event

Lucy Worsley OBE is Chief Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, the charity which looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, and other historic places. Lucy says “Yes, this is a fabulous job, but no, you can’t have it. Bribes have been offered, and refused.” Lucy is best known for her series on many historical topics from Queen Victoria, the Georgian Court, the History of the Home and the Art of the British Murder.

Tonight, Lucy paints a vivid picture of Jane Austen, her favourite author. Through the houses, places and possessions that mattered to her, Lucy takes a fascinating look at Jane Austen’s world.

An Evening with Lucy Worlsey includes her talk, Q&A and a chance to meet Lucy while she signs her books.

Why not book a VIP package to make your evening really special! You’ll get priority seating in the front two rows, your choice of book for Lucy to sign and you’ll also jump the queue during the book signing. In our VIP lounge, you can also help yourself to wine, beer or juice before the talk and during the interval.

All profits from this talk go towards Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s work to protect and campaign for wildlife in the county.

Refund policy: Up to 7 Days before the event.
