Event description
An evening with Australian cartoonist, writer, painter, philosopher and poet Michael Leunig.

About this Event

St James’s Church is delighted to welcome Michael Leunig to Piccadilly for an evening of reflection, wit and wisdom. We will invite him to tell us a little about the wellspring of his creativity, his particular take on human and planetary affairs, his engagement with public prayer, and his thoughts about our collective future.

Deborah Colvin, Churchwarden at St James’s, fellow Australian, and follower of Leunig’s work for 45 years will engage Michael in conversation. This will be followed by some time for a Q&A with the audience.

You are invited to join us for a glass of wine/juice and an opportunity to mingle informally after the event.

Michael Leunig is an Australian cartoonist, writer, painter, philosopher and poet. His commentary on political, cultural and emotional life spans more than fifty years and has often explored the idea of an innocent and sacred personal world. The fragile ecosystem of human nature and its relationship to the wider natural world is a related and recurrent theme.
