About the venue

The original core of Kingswood House was built in 1814 and still survives to this day. It's had multiple owners throughout history who have expanded or re-purposed the property; most notably, it was once owned by John Lawson Johnson, inventor of Bovril, which earned it the nickname 'Bovril Castle'.
