Blackwell’s Bookshop is thrilled to welcome three stars of children’s writing to Edinburgh.
Oliver Jeffers is the award-winning author-illustrator of bestselling books such as The Day the Crayons Quit, Stuck and Lost and Found. His latest book, A Child of Books, is a collaboration with fine artist Sam Winston, whose work has been featured in many special collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, the Tate Galleries in London, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London
Eoin Colfer worked as a teacher before turning his attention of full-time writing for children. He is best known for his phenomenally successful Artemis Fowl series. In 2015 he collaborated with Oliver Jeffers on the picture book Imaginary Fred, which won the Specsavers Ireland Children's Book of the Year Junior Award. Eoin is currently the Laureate na n’Óg, the Children’s Laureate of Ireland.
This event will be chaired by author and co-founder of Picture Hooks Vivian French.
