We are delighted to welcome Olly Smith and Michael Finnerty here to Hatchards this evening to discuss their new books.

In WINE: Everything You Need to Know, Olly explains that we don’t need to be rich or have expert knowledge when it comes to choosing wine, we just need to feel confident. From the basics of how to choose a bottle of wine, how much to spend and how to taste it, we discover Olly’s top wines to try before we die, as well as his own Ten Commandments of Wine.

Michael Finnerty’s book, The Cheese Cure: How Comté and Camembert Fed My Soul, is an exploration of the senses the modern world forgets to celebrate – taste, touch, smell…Becoming an apprentice cheesemonger at Borough Market gave him the most enjoyable and fascinating education on all things cheese –which he now shares with us.
