Join us for a heartwarming night of storytelling, song and good company as we bring together two of Scotland’s best-loved voices - Peter MacQueen and Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker - for a special evening to launch Peter’s brand-new book, Tails of Scotland: The Story of Scottish Dogs.
In his new book, Peter MacQueen embarks on an extraordinary journey through the hills, glens and islands of Scotland, meeting fourteen of the country’s most iconic breeds. From the noble Scottish Deerhound to the mischievous Westie, Peter uncovers the history, character and quirks of each breed - and the deep bond they share with the people of Scotland. Alongside beautiful photography and practical tips, Tails of Scotland is a celebration of heritage, heart, and our four-legged companions.
Joining him on stage is international best-selling author Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker. Born and raised on the Isle of Lewis, Coinneach has become Scotland’s bestselling cookbook author, delighting readers across the world with his comforting recipes and tales of island life. With four chart-topping cookbooks, a hit podcast, and his own TV series, the Hebridean Baker brings a unique blend of tradition, flavour and folklore.
Together, Peter and Coinneach will take you on a joyful journey across Scotland, with dogs at their heels and recipes in their hearts. Expect laughter, nostalgia, a few surprises… and maybe even a song or two!
