An evening with Philip Parker and his A to Z History of London
Event Information
About this Event
Calling all Londoners & map lovers – join us for an evening with historian Philip Parker, whose new book charts how London has been transformed since 1936, when Phyllis Pearsall first walked some 23,000 streets to produce the first A-Z map – the 20th Century classic now threatened by Google Maps. Hospitals, schools, markets, stations, cinemas, stadiums, museums, parks – they’re all in Parker’s brilliant new take on our beloved A-Z.
Unreserved seating. Doors open 19.00.
