An evening with photographer
Roberto Chile

Presentation, Screening and a Q&A
Saturday, November 9th @ 18:30

Veteran Cuban photographer ROBERTO CHILE is in the UK for the opening of a photography exhibition in Glasgow- the city has a reciprocal annual cultural exchange with Havana-. On his way back to Cuba, Roberto will stop at Sands Films in Rotherhithe to do a short presentation about his life and work, especially as a photographer and documentarist of the former Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

There will be a screening of a short film he made about another Cuban photographer Alberto Korda, who took the iconic Che picture. The short film (around 25 minutes) is based on a talk Chile had with Korda, which was never published and remained in personal files.  This documentary is the first of a series of five works dedicated to photographers of Cuban Revolution. The screening and presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
