Description

An Evening with “Queen Elizabeth the 1st“

Saturday, 6th April 2019

7.00 pm - 9.30 pm

(please be seated ready for 7.00 pm, performance will begin soon after)

Interested in History? The event is just for you!

This glittering performance by “Queen Elizabeth" will transport you back to a time of England's voyage into the Renaissance, with a historically accurate and at times humorous manner of how she restored stability to England, following the greatest social, religious and political upheaval of the Reformation and whilst in the company of Drake, Raleigh, and Shakespeare.

Queen Elizabeth the 1st went on to rule England longer than any other monarch before her. There is no doubt that she had one of the most profound effects on English and European politics.

So let the Golden Age will be with you again as you sit in the presence of Elizabeth.

Why the event and why the charities were chosen?

I have organised this event to raise funds and awareness for two local charities that have had a positive impact on me. I initially started Volunteering at Teamwork a few hours a week after being made redundant from a Training Provider. The Trust helped me to feel involved and purposeful, at the same time being thoroughly enjoyable; this led to me becoming employed part-time at Teamwork.

Choosing St John the Baptist church as my second charity was just as easy due to it being a welcoming place that my family and I have worshipped and attended its many community events over the years. It puts its local community at its heart.

In a world of change, both charities provide a constant' to many a person in their daily lives in and around my local community. This is invaluable for all concerned.

Thank you for booking a ticket/s, I hope you enjoy the evening.

Kind regards Tracy

St John the Baptist Church: is a welcoming church with a worshipping congregation that traces its beginning back before Domesday and a beautiful building which is around 800 years old, St John’s value their partnership with organisations, schools, businesses and the community in general.
