RMS, as he is known in the Free Software community, originated the concept of Free Software and articulated the case for building human rights into our technological systems. The Free Software movement articulated the deep ideas which became the inspiration for Linux, Wikipedia, Creative Commons and many other cultural movements based on mass collaboration and sharing. A pioneer in thinking through the issues on the interface between human rights and technology, he will be speaking on Free Software and Your Freedom.
This evening lecture is free and will also be made publicly available by podcast and vidcast (details to follow) for those who aren't able to join us.
