An Evening with Sam Kunkel and Jessica Gossling- Gower St

Join us for an evening with editors Sam Kunkel and Jessica Gossling, who will be discussing and answering questions on The Decadent Bestiary, their new collection of fin de siècle animal poems and prose.

The book is published by esteemed, cult publishing house Strange Attractor, who describe the work as opening 'a new chapter in the complex story of our relationship with the natural world, showcasing the beasts of beauty and burden that recur in decadent and symbolist writing.'

As MIT Press notes, Same Kunkel is a French translator and scholar of nineteenth-century religious literature.

Dr Jessica Gossling is a lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London, and an editor for Volupté: Interdisciplinary Journal of Decadence Studies.
