Description

Join two of the UK's leading Sherlock Holmes authors for the launch of their new books.

Orlando Pearson's 'Redacted Sherlock Holmes' series mixes the canon with elite sport, business high jinks, a musical mystery, a literary mystery, Realpolitik and, in The Hounding of Peer Baskerville rolls the most famous of all detective stories on twenty years.

In the summer of 2016 retired broadcaster Paul Ashton made an astounding discovery at a car boot sale in Sussex. He found a copy of Sherlock Holmes’s Practical Handbook of Bee Culture, and bought it for £2. No other copy of this legendary volume – the only book Holmes wrote – has ever come to light. The Handbook is the journal kept by Holmes from 1904 to 1912. 1904 was the year he retired from active investigation and moved to a farmhouse in East Dean. In 1912 he came out of retirement and left East Dean in order to outwit the German spy network in Britain on the eve of World War I.

Join us for an evening of readings, performances, a chance to get signed first editions and above all network with fellow Sherlock Holmes fans.

All entry and raffle proceeds to Stepping Stones School at Undershaw.
