Description

An Evening with Sir Mark Rylance: Tales of Shakespeare, Stage and Screen

Join us on 27 April for An Evening with Sir Mark Rylance: Tales of Shakespeare, Screen and Stage. Sir Mark will be sharing behind the scenes stories about his journey from acclaimed on-stage Shakespearean actor to Academy-Award winning star of the silver screen. He will be discussing the Shakespeare Authorship Question and his role as the first artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre with the current Chairman of the Shakespearean Authorship Trust, our esteemed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs and Civil Engagement) Professor Bill Leahy.

The event will be open to guests from 5.30pm for a 6pm start in the Eastern Gateway Building and will be followed by light refreshments. We expect this to be a sell-out event so book early to avoid disappointment.
