Tessa Hadley is the author of eight highly praised novels, Accidents in the Home, which was longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award, Everything Will Be All Right,The Master Bedroom,The LondonTrain, Clever Girl, The Past, Late in the Day, Free Love and four collections of stories, Sunstroke, Married Love, Bad Dreams and After the Funeral. Tory Young is an Associate Professor of English Literature at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, where she teaches and publishes on 20-21st-century literature. In 2021, she began a collaboration with the National Centre for Writing, developing an ongoing series of life-writing seminars for participants aged 70+ called A Life Written. Tory is currently editing a collection of essays about female friendship, and writing about 21st-century novels in which women voluntarily retreat to bed for a year.
