Event description

Description

Much-loved actor, presenter and author with a stellar career lasting over fifty years - Sir Tony Robinson is coming to Oswestry!

Tony's long-awaited autobiography, reveals how the boy from South Woodford went from child stardom in the first stage production of Oliver!, to comedy icon Baldrick, the loyal servant and turnip aficionado in Blackadder.

Like many things, it wasn’t all plain sailing though. Along the way he was bullied by Steve Marriott, failed to impress Liza Minnelli and was pushed into a stinking London dock by John Wayne. He presented Time Team for twenty years, watching countless gardens ruthlessly dug up in the name of archaeology, and risked life and limb filming The Worst Jobs in History.

Join us for an evening with comedy legend, Tony Robinson and his new autobiography ‘No Cunning Plan’, filled with incident and insight, a funny, self-deprecating and as always, an entertaining read. We look forward to what should be a very memorable night.

Event Format: Author talk 'in conversation' followed by audience Q&A and book signing.

NB: The event starts at 7.30pm (doors open 7.00pm)

Tickets: Single Ticket £14 (Admits One & includes a signed copy of No Cunning Plan) or Couple Ticket £20 (Admits Two & includes one copy of No Cunning Plan)
