Queer history has long been rewritten and censored. Join award-winning author and YouTuber Rowan Ellis in exploring the secrets of LGBTQ+ history that we never got the chance to learn in school, and reexamine the history we have been taught to reveal the hidden queer connections within.  

In this 2-hour online workshop, we will look at the ways queer people have built community even in the most hostile moments of history: from the hidden meaning of flowers to a secret queer language. Explore tales of queer joy, anger, and love that span from the perilous waters of pirate ships to the quiet of hospital bedsides. Walk away with vital lessons about the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ equality and liberation.
