An Inca Pop Up Landscape & Lunch class at the Hanging Gate
Thu 27 April 2017, 10:00 – 15:30 BST
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking view over the Cheshire Plains from the Hanging Gate. A pub that is almost 400 years that is not short of character and holds the best view over Cheshire.
Anna Riordan (Wilmslow Guild) begins the class by offering this spectacular view for inspiration for the class. The unique light, transient weather and dramatic topography offer the artist the many options for expressing a personal view of the landscape.
Based in the restaurant space with the opportunity to go outside if the weather permits, the day will allow students to fully immerse in the landscape and by drawing directly from it, translate this information into a finished piece of artwork.
In the middle of the day you enjoy a two course lunch by Ernst van Zyl. Seasonal, local produce at its very best. You may know Ernst from his 3 years at the local restaurant The Lord Clyde where he achieved 3 Rosette Stars.
Some materials will be provided for the class but please bring your chosen media, a surface to work on and a sketch book.
