The Young People's Law Service (YPLS) are very pleased to announce another exciting and engaging event entitled, "An Inspirational Evening."
We are filled with both joy and sadness as this will be the last event to be hosted by our current YPLS team. With this in mind, "An Inspirational Evening" will expand upon anything we have ever done before and bring to a close what has been an amazing journey. We are excited to share it with a room full of go-getters.
The event will consist of an array of exceptional and inspiring guests who have accomplished great things in their respective fields including award winning entrepreneur, Rachel Wang. Rachel will be joining our panel to discuss co-founding and now directing a thriving, South London based video production company. Furthermore, Samantha Tross, the first black British Consultant Orthapaedic Surgeon will also be on our panel to discuss her journey into the medical field.
Our guests also include Prince Wassim who is 23 years of age and in spite of enduring a difficult past, he has over come all obstacles to open an established Milkshake bar in Harlesden. Multiple award winning entrepreneur, (including the Virgin Start-up business award) Philip Poku, founder and director of Young Graduates Day Nursery, will be in attendance talking about his inspiring journey in creating a chain of renowned nurseries.
We are thrilled that long-term friend of the YPLS, Courtenay Griffiths QC, a reputable and widely acclaimed Criminal Defence Barrister who has been involved in some of the most high profile cases in the past 2 decades, including the PC Blakelok murder trial and the Damilola Taylor murder trial will also be in attendance.
The guest speakers will share their motivational stories with us all and demonstrate to all in attendance, how they broke down barriers, overcame obstacles and achieved what many may have deemed; impossible! Expect to see surprise speakers also!
Previous YPLS events have resulted in young people attaining Mini-law pupillages, training contracts and other voluntary positions that span outside the field of law, including journalism, other media forms and business. We intend to, at the very least, replicate this success; desiring to have the young people in attendance take a step closer to fulfilling their dreams.
There will be refreshments distributed during our networking session where the determined minds can converse and connect under the illuminating lights of the prestige, scenic Novotel Hotel which is adjacent to Wembley stadium.
The event will commence from 6pm and finish at 9pm
We want to celebrate our last event by serving the young people, the future in the biggest and best possible way!
Do not miss it!!!
