This course introduces workers to self-care tools they can use to supplement their work supporting people to reduce, stabilise or cease using drugs. The MyCrew website provides information, advice and support online. This service offers accessible information about drugs, an assessment tool (allowing users to track their use of any substance) and a chat room with support by trained volunteers which can offer tips and guidance during times of high risk relapse.
When & Where
Crew specialises education for the reduction in harm caused by substance use. Our information, advice and support are informed by our engagement with people who use substances and affiliations with a range of professionals through care, toxicology & drugs law. This ensures it is up-to-date and credible, both to people using drugs as well as those working with them. It also ensures successful engagement and proven results in the community.
Crew neither condemns nor condones drug use. The organisation advocates informed decision-making based on up-to-date information and evidence.
Award winning Crew informs local and national government, shares information with hundreds of agencies, collaborates with project work internationally, and can be seen at work in national media.
