About this event

Join us as we launch our training in Dudley, in which we will aim to:

  • Raise awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the requirement to move towards Trauma Informed and Responsive Practice.
  • Raise awareness of Dudley's strategic view around ACEs and to hold exploratory conversations on how this can be moved into operational practice.
  • Raise awareness of the ACEs Co-ordinators and their roles within Dudley.

The session will include keynote speeches from key partners within the West Midlands Violence Prevention Alliance, Dudley Public Health and Barnardo's, in addition to a two hour basic awareness programme around ACEs and Trauma Informed Practice. The session will close with the opportunity to discuss how we operationalise our strategy to move towards becoming ACE aware and Trauma Informed.

This event is aimed at all levels and roles, across all organisations and professions, however we would suggest that the nominated attendees have a strong interest in ACEs and have the backing of their organisation to implement actions that arise as a result of the training, and any future consultation which may take place with the ACEs Co-ordinators.
