About this event

Family & Education • Education

North Somerset Parent Carers would like to invite parent carers, their families and professionals to join us with Bev Robson on an Introduction to Attachment And Childhood Trauma.

Bev is a parent carer herself, with years of experience in attachment disorder and childhood trauma and has ample training that gives her the confidence in training parents to give them the guidance and strategies to support their child or young person.

Attachment disorders are conditions that can develop in young children who have issues establishing a deep emotional connection—known as the attachment bond—with their parent or primary caregiver. Since the quality of the attachment bond profoundly impacts your child’s development, experiencing attachment issues can affect their ability to express emotions, develop trust and security, and build meaningful relationships later in life.

This is a free training event for parent carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities within North Somerset. This event is also open to professionals who work with children/young people with additional needs and/or disabilities in North Somerset. Priority on place allocation will be given based on the criteria above.

North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are incredibly excited to extend our training offer with more diverse topics to benefit you and your families.
