Aim:

To improve knowledge of childhood adversity, trauma and attachment theory. Understand the way that these factors can impact upon behaviour and outcomes for children. Develop an understanding of what trauma informed practice means and positive ways to support children.

About this event

This session will support attendees in gaining an awareness of trauma and unmet attachment needs and the potential impact these can have on children. It highlights that all behaviour is a form of communication and helps attendees look at how trauma can affect our bodies and our actions. Trauma informed practices, strategies, techniques and approaches will be presented to support children’s recovery, development and growth.
