Authentic Movement is a form of moving meditation based on the relationship between the mover and the witness. This one-day workshop introduces the concept of the inner witness, one of the basic elements of this practice. As you practice mindfulness in movement, you will learn how to track your inner-sensations, spontaneous movement expression and moments of stillness whilst moving in the presence of a witness.

This course is an experiential course and will be taught by Brenda Naso, Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor on the MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy, STaCS Department
What are the learning outcomes?
At the end of this course, participants will:
- Understand to the concept of inner witness in the practice of Authentic Movement.
- Learn how to track and identify your inner-sensations and spontaneous movement expression in the present moment.
- Learn how to move mindfully in the presence of a witness.
