Event description

Description

Come and learn everything you need to start keeping bees and making your own honey. You will learn about how to set up a hive, the equipment you will need, the various life stages of the honeybee as well as necessary maintenance and hive inspections. You will also learn about pest and diseases and finally the most rewarding bit – the honey harvest!

Trainer Kevin has been lead beekeeper at Sydenham Garden for the last four years. He has specialised in using the fascinating world of beekeeping to help improve wellbeing in a wide range of people. His passion and enthusiasm for beekeeping is contagious so if you are unsure whether you want to keep bees, but think you may just need a little encouragement then this is the course for you!

If you have any mobility requirements, please contact capitalgrowth@sustainweb.org before booking to discuss your particular needs.
