This insightful half day session will give you practical knowledge, tips and advice on what to put in into your business plan and will also get you thinking about the bigger picture, including your strategic vision, mission and more! 

 

Attendees will – 

 1) Gain insight on the purpose of a business plan and how to make this a working document and not something that sits on a shelf!  
  

2) Be able to gain confidence and knowledge in your planning and strategy whilst answering:  

  • Why do we exist?  
  • What does good look like for your organisation? 
  • Where are we today? 
  • Who are we for/serving? 
  • What do people want from us? 
  • What do we do? 
  • How do we do what we do? 
  • How will we know good? 
  • How will we deliver good? 
  • How do we get started? 

 

3) Network and connect with others in the sector over refreshments and lunch 

 

Who is this event for: 

This event is for those who work in the non-profit, charity or arts, heritage and cultural sectors. It is open to anyone in any director, CEO, business support or development roles or others outside of these roles who are looking support on business and strategic planning.  

 

Schedule: 

09:30 - Doors open for refreshments and chit chats 

10:00-12:30- Workshop with 15 min breaks every 45 mins 

12:30 - 13:00- Lunch 

13:00- 14:00- Workshop with 15 min breaks every 45 mins 

14:30- Event ends 

 

About our workshop lead: 

Josh Watts, Director, Innovate_ 

Josh is the Managing Director of Innovate_, an agency he founded to help social enterprises and impact-driven businesses grow and scale. His background includes roles within the National Trust, PwC, London local authorities, Social Housing providers, and technology start-ups, where he led teams in strategic growth, operations, fundraising, and large-scale project management.

Do I need to be an Arts & Business NI Member to attend?

No, we have a dedicated non-member rate for all our events and would be delighted for people outside of our membership to attend events and training
