About this event

This event will be held online via Zoom and is for u3a members only.

Join us for this up-to-date presentation which draws on examples from both around the world and here in the UK, explaining what Climate Change is, the steps that are being taken to reduce damaging emissions and what role we all can play to protect the planet for future generations.

The Climate Reality Project was founded by former US Vice President Al Gore; every effort has been made to ensure that all facts are verified and refer only to Peer Reviewed research. The work of institutions such as NASA and the Meteorological Office are drawn on, along with many academic institutions.

Presented by:

Brenda Ainsley from Cotgrave & District u3a has trained with the Climate Reality Leadership Programme and regularly makes presentations to members of Trust u3a and to members of u3as throughout the country.

Neil Deuchar supports Brenda in the holding of a monthly Trust U3A meeting called Countdown to COP which aims to raise awareness about climate change and related issues ahead of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in November 2021.
