Hull CVS in conjunction with Work Out Loud bring you this free workshop providing an introduction to the range of free and low cost collaborative working software that is now available to charities.
About the workshop
Social software and collaborative working tools are helping to drive a revolution in the way we work. It is now easier than ever for colleagues to share information, and work together on projects, whether they are at the next desk or different locations.
At this workshop we will be looking at some of the free, and low cost, social software tools that will enable you to:
- Securely share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Set up shared calendars and simple appointments systems
- Work with partner organisations
- Manage projects
- Hold video conferences and webinars
- Create your own social intranets and online communities
This workshop is for managers, and anyone interested in collaborative working. No IT knowledge is necessary.
Delivered by Danny Golding, Director of Work Out Loud, a company specialising in helping charities and social enterprises to use collaborative software.
Danny has worked with third sector organisations for many years. Until recently he was a senior IT manager for a national charity where he was responsible for systems used by 20,000 staff and volunteers. His experience in successfully pioneering the use of social collaboration tools, convinced him that charities and, social enterprises, would benefit from making more use of these technologies.
The workshop will run for 90 minutes – there will be time afterwards for one to one follow up discussions.
