If you are employed in a role that requires you to understand the basics of Finance or you are a business owner struggling to get to grips with Finance, then this course will be ideal for you.
This four-part course will help you understand the basics of:
1) The Income Statement (previously Profit and Loss Account)
2) Understanding performance ratios
3) The Statement of Financial Position (previously Balance Sheet)
4) The Cash flow statement
The course will relate some of the terminology to your own personal finances, use a fictitious company, and two corporate entities’ financial statements to guide you through the basic principles of company financial statements.
The course is delivered by an experienced Chartered Accountant and UCLan Principal Lecturer.
Additional Joining Instructions:
Each of the 4 topics is covered in a separate pre-recorded session which the participant is required to view. Viewing the pre-recorded session is self-directed and approximately 1 hour should be allowed to complete each video.
An additional Q&A Session can be arranged if required.

You must meet the following criteria:
•You must be over 16
•Legally able to reside and work in the UK
•Self employed/employed in a small/medium sized company within Lancashire
