Format: Seminar style, attendees' mics and cameras will be turned off with volunteers pre-selected at random to demonstrate some exercises.

About the session:

This session will introduce you to the world of corporate role-play. You will learn what corporate role-play is and how it is used in the business world, how the industry works, how to do corporate role-play, and how to give evidence-based feedback. You will be provided with the building blocks and many tips and tricks to enable you to enter this potentially lucrative side hustle.

About the Facilitator:

Syrus Lowe is a leader in corporate role-play, having worked in the industry for over twenty years for some of the top companies. He has delivered hundreds of hours of role play in the UK and worldwide, in person and virtually. Syrus is part of the audition process for some of the UK’s leading role-play companies.

In 2016, he set up the first-ever one-day Corporate Role Play Masterclass. He ran the masterclass for professional actors and took it to some of the UK’s leading drama schools to introduce graduating students to corporate role play. These included the Birmingham School of Acting, Central School of Speech and Drama, East 15, Lamda, Rose Bruford, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.In addition to working as a role play actor, Syrus is now a facilitator, delivering drama-based training on various subjects, including diversity and inclusion, culture change, inclusive leadership, presentation skills, and personal impact.

Syrus is a co-founder and CEO of the drama-based diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging training company, The Communication Practice.Syrus is a RADA-trained actor who graduated in 2007 and sat on the RADA audition panel for five years. Syrus still works regularly in theatre, film and television. On stage, he was part of the original casts of hit shows The Inheritance (Young Vic and West End) and Best of Enemies (Young Vic and West End).His television credits include Treason (Netflix), Strike (BBC/ HBO), Avenue 5 (HBO), Protection (ITV) and Sherlock (BBC). Syrus is also the voice of Lars in the hit CBeebies show Go Jetters.
