Summary: The GDPR and Compliance bitesize power hour training is aimed at helping individuals and organisations in the voluntary and statutory sectors understand the key elements of GDPR, avoid common pitfalls and ensure compliance. This session will also provide valuable signposts to local resources for further guidance. Q&A at the end of the session.

Aims:

  • To raise awareness of GDPR and compliance requirements for community groups and organisations.
  • To provide simple, actionable tips to avoid common data protection mistakes.
  • To signpost participants to relevant resources and support.

Outcomes:

  • Participants will understand key GDPR principles and their relevance in community and voluntary work.
  • Attendees will gain practical advice on staying compliant and avoiding common pitfalls.
  • Participants will be equipped with knowledge of where to find additional support and resources.

Date and Time: Tuesday 3rd December 2024 ,11am-12pm

Venue: Zoom. Please ensure that your device is compatible with Zoom, that you keep your screen turned on during the session and that you are online for the start of the session.

This training is free to join but there is a cost for us to deliver.

NB. A charge of £10 will be incurred for non-attendance not notified to us within 48 hrs of the course start time; this will be invoiced to you or your organisation.

Slough CVS UK is a local charity funded to support local groups in Slough, Windsor, Ascot , Maidenhead and surrounding areas so please only register for this training if you provide services or intend to volunteer in the areas we serve. If we have places available 24 hours before the start of the training and you would like to attend but are not in our area of benefit, please email training@sloughcvs.org.uk and we will try to accommodate you.
